A Uniting Church coeducational independent day and boarding school on Kaurna Country, Adelaide, South Australia

Early Learning to Year 12

Upcoming Events - Edition 16 - 2020

Restricted Events

Further to the Principal’s last eNews article, some of our end of year celebrations and ceremonies will significantly change as a result of the restrictions and guidelines that remain in place for COVID-19:

The Official Opening of the Inquiry and Innovation Hub

Will take place on Wednesday 18 November but due to restricted numbers this unfortunately cannot be an open invitation. Again, the event is planned to be broadcast via livestream.

Award and Prize Giving Ceremony (formerly Speech Day)

The title has changed to the Award and Prize Giving Ceremony and will be held on Thursday 19 November, the day when it would normally be held. The ceremony will also be livestreamed for those not able to attend. Only students who are receiving awards and prizes will be expected to attend and we anticipate they will be able to invite up to two guests. The Valedictory Service and Dinner for Year 12 will both be held at the Entertainment Centre to allow for the number of guests that normally attend our graduation celebrations. The school day will change for other Senior School students but more on this is being released directly to families.

Christmas Lights

Our iconic event has been cancelled for this year, which sadly won’t come as a surprise to anyone, particularly with so many community Christmas events having already been cancelled. The Junior Primary Nativity will be just for Junior Primary families. Our students and current parents will hear more about a special carol evening that will be held in early December in front of the Thomas Pavilion.

The Preparatory School Certificate Ceremony

This will also look somewhat different this year. Please view the Head of Preparatory School article for more information.
