Thomas Pavilion

We have a proud sporting history and offer an extensive range of sports for students to participate in across a number of disciplines and levels.

Westminster Sport036

To celebrate this, and offer our students even more opportunity, we commissioned the construction of a new Sports Pavilion. Named the Thomas Pavilion, this building sits in the heart of our sport precinct at Westminster, adjacent to the Sports and Swimming Centre and poised with magnificent views over our ovals and soccer fields.

Visitors are welcomed in our Sporting Hall of Fame that leads through to a new purpose-built home for the Golden Keys Training Centre. Four large change rooms sit at the centre of the building and an energy-filled players race leads athletes onto the main oval. The upper-level features a versatile, multi-purpose, light-filled learning space, that doubles as a community function space and provides unobstructed views of our playing areas. Two tiered-seating stands also allow teammates, staff, families and the school community to sit outside and support their team.

Sport has long been considered integral to the development, wellbeing, learning and success of students at Westminster School, and with more than 140 teams across 25 different sports, we are proud to offer a wide range of opportunities for students to be involved in the sporting community.

Westminster School currently has three football ovals, four soccer pitches, two softball diamonds, 10 tennis courts, 12 netball courts, four turf cricket pitches and four volleyball courts. The new Sports Pavilion complements these and forms an important part of the incredible sporting programs on offer.
