Early Learning to Year 12
Thank you for your interest in applying for a scholarship at Westminster School.
Each year, Westminster offers a range of scholarships to support exceptional students who demonstrate leadership qualities, emulate our School values and show a desire to make a positive contribution to the community.
Supported by the Westminster School Foundation, our Scholarship program continues to grow, thanks to the generosity shown by our community throughout Westminster’s history.
Westminster invites scholarship applications in the following broad categories. Assessment is via academic testing, written submission and interviews. Community scholarships may also be means tested within the assessment process.
Academic Excellence
Academic Excellence scholarship opportunities are available for students entering Year 7 at Westminster School. Applications are invited from external students and currently enrolled Westminster students. Please note that international students in receipt of a student visa (subclass 500) are ineligible to apply for Academic Excellence scholarships.
General Excellence Scholarship
General Excellence scholarships are awarded to well-rounded students who demonstrate a high level of academic performance and achievement in one of more of the following areas: sport, performing arts, leadership and community service.
Boarding Scholarships
Boarding sits at the heart of our School as it is the primary reason behind the establishment of Westminster in the early 1960s. Most of our Boarding community comes from regional towns and from rural properties. Sharing their love of the land, we proudly provide Boarding students with high quality scholarship opportunities, thanks to the generosity of our Boarding benefactors.
Community Scholarships
Recipients of Westminster Community Scholarships embody the spirit of the School. These scholarships have been established to provide support to talented, hardworking and aspirational students who might not have otherwise had the opportunity to enrol.
