Scholarships are available for students who will embrace the opportunities that Westminster offers. We look for applicants who are passionate members of their community, involved in co-curricular activities, committed to academic improvement and demonstrate leadership potential.

The Maurie Japarta Ryan Scholarship is available to new students commencing in Years 7 to 10 as a Day or Boarding student. This scholarship supports First Nation students who demonstrate all-round excellence in academic and/or co-curricular pursuits, including sport, performing arts, service and leadership. The scholarship is named in honour of Westminster School’s first Indigenous-enrolled student, Maurie Japarta Ryan, an Old Scholar from the Class of 1967.
Assessment: Online submission, means testing and interview for shortlisted candidates.
Benefit: 50 - 100% remission on tuition fees with consideration also given to covering other expenses such as School uniform and expenses.
The Refugee Scholarship is available to a new student commencing in Years 7 to 12 who meets the Australian Bureau of Statistics definition of a refugee, that is, a person who has been subject to persecution in their home country and in need of resettlement. The scholarship is for a student considered accordingly who demonstrates academic ability, co-curricular ability, family need and good character.
Assessment: Online submission, means testing and interview for shortlisted candidates.
Benefit: Up to 100% remission of tuition fees per annum for Years 7 to 12.
The Old Scholars’ Scholarship is supported by the Westminster Old Scholars’ Association. It is made available to a new or existing student, entering Year 10 at Westminster School, who is the child or grandchild of an Old Scholar. The recipient will possess outstanding personal qualities and an ability in both the academic and co-curricular areas. The intention is that any Old Scholar family can benefit only once from this scholarship.
Assessment: Online submission and interview for shortlisted candidates.
Benefit: 30% remission of tuition fees per annum for Years 10 to 12.
