Student Achievements - Edition 2 - 2022

Over the weekend both Tom Mattinson (Year 7 Forder) and Will Mattinson (Year 11 Forder) competed in the State Championships. Will won the Under 18 Men’s Pole Vault with a PB of 3.95m, beating last year's record of 3.10m. Tommy won the Under 14 Men’s RaceRunning event, Seated club throwing with a new state record and Personal Best, competed in discus and won a silver in shot put. Both boys have been invited to complete at Nationals in Sydney in March/April. Tommy will compete from Thursday 31 March through to Saturday 2 April and Will will compete on Friday 1 April. Congratulations to both boys.

Mattias McCarthy (Year 12 Jeffries) had a couple of pretty intense days in Melbourne over the weekend in the Para Swimming World Series. Mattias swam in four events and achieved two Personal Bests. He also qualified for another two events in the World Championship trials being held this year in Adelaide in April. Well done Mattias.
