Traffic and Safety Update
Traffic and Safety Update
With continued growth across the School and the exciting redevelopment of our Preparatory facilities now underway, we are seeing increased traffic across campus, particularly during drop-off and pick-up times. As construction progresses later this year, site access will become even more limited.
In the interest of supporting safety and independence—particularly for our youngest students—we encourage Senior School families to reconsider the need to enter School grounds during peak periods. Where possible, please use Alison Avenue or other surrounding streets when dropping off or collecting your child. This provides convenient and efficient access while helping to ease congestion on campus during busy times.
To help us further prioritise safety and support smooth operations across the School, we ask all families to take note of the following:
- Drive slowly and stay alert: Remain vigilant for students and pedestrians at all times while on campus.
- Use designated pick-up zones: These areas have been established to support safer and more efficient collection.
For families in the Preparatory School, we also encourage:
- Park and walk where possible: When conditions allow, park nearby and walk to collect your child.
- Avoid the ELC turnaround: This is a no standing zone and must remain clear to ensure safe and essential access.
- Do not stop along the laneway near the train line between 2.45 pm and 3.30 pm: Stopping or double parking in this area compromises safety and reduces visibility.
We understand these adjustments may require changes to your usual routine and we are deeply grateful for your cooperation.
In support of long-term solutions, the School has also called on the City of Marion to review and assist with our broader traffic management needs. We look forward to continuing this dialogue as our campus evolves.
Your ongoing support makes a meaningful difference to the safety and wellbeing of every member of our School community.
