Tennis
Tennis at Westminster is a rapidly growing program that offers genuine pathways for every student, from those discovering the game for the first time through to those working towards high performance. Our Drive Squad is made up of both girls and boys and provides a focused and competitive training environment for players aspiring to perform at an elite level and represent the School in high level interschool competition as does the Premier League Girls team.
Alongside the Drive Squad and the Premier League girls sits a strong group of Senior teams who train and compete at a high standard with girls, boys and mixed teams. This variety of teams allows players to be selected in teams where their skill will most meaningfully develop, enabling players to continue developing their game as they work towards potential Drive or Premier League Girls selection. This tiered structure supports ongoing growth and encourages healthy ambition or develops an ongoing recreational love for the game
For students who are new to tennis or still building confidence, internal Saturday morning competitions provide the chance to learn the fundamentals of technique, scoring and court movement in a safe and encouraging environment. This ensures that tennis remains inclusive and accessible, allowing every student to progress at their own pace.
