Science Club

Led by Senior School Teacher, Michaela Parker

Science Club provides students in Years 7–9 with the opportunity to explore areas of science that interest them while developing their creativity, curiosity and scientific thinking.

Beginning in Week 5 of Term 1 in the Senior School Science Laboratories and continuing throughout Term 2, students will work towards developing an entry for the Oliphant Science Awards. Entries may include scientific models, inventions, investigations or scientific writing. Students will have access to the resources and expertise of the Senior School Science Faculty to support the development of their projects.

Students who enter the Oliphant Science Awards are also eligible for discounted entry to Science Alive, where they can enjoy a range of interactive science experiences, demonstrations and challenges.

Science Club meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3.30 pm to 5.00 pm during Terms 1 and 2, commencing in Week 5 of Term 1. Places are limited.
