Chess Club

Prep School Chess at Westminster offers a welcoming and enjoyable experience for students in Years 2–6, supporting the development of strategic thinking, patience and confidence through guided play.

For Years 4–6, the program is led by Mr Jury in conjunction with chess professionals Alan Goldsmith and Bill Jordan, both multiple state champions. Sessions run after school on Mondays from 3.30pm to 5.00pm in Terms 2 and 3 in the Senior School.

For Years 2–3, Chess is led by Alan Goldsmith and runs on Fridays from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm in the Prep Library during Terms 2 and 3.
