Introduction to Improvisation
Introduction to Improvisation is open to students in Years 9–12, with a choice of the Summer program (Terms 1 and 4) or Winter program (Terms 2 and 3). Students may participate in one program only.
Through Drama games and scene work, students develop foundational improvisation skills while building confidence, teamwork and creativity. Like Theatre Sports, the course features games with specific rules and time limits, challenging students to think on their feet and work together to create entertaining improvisations.
Students work towards both short- and medium-form improvised performances, developing their ability to create characters, build stories and respond to one another in the moment.
