Girls' Football

Girls Football in the Senior School continues to grow in strength and numbers, supported by the rise of community football, SANFLW and the AFLW. Westminster has seen this pathway firsthand with students progressing to State League and AFLW level including the Schools first AFLW player.

Girls Football is offered in Middle years (Years 7 to 9) and Senior years (Years 10 to 12). The program is inclusive and caters for students discovering the game for the first time through to those involved in representative and pathway programs.

Our coaching group is committed to developing strong fundamentals, game understanding and team spirit. Training and match play emphasise confidence, connection and representing the School with pride. Many students continue their football journey beyond School through the Westminster Dragons Old Scholars Football Club, maintaining the strong community at the heart of the program.

Girls Football at Westminster provides an environment where students develop as players and as people, contributing to a program that is continuing to grow into a respected and competitive force across the IGSSA competition.
