Flute Ensemble

Flute Ensemble is open to interested students in Years 7 – 12 who undertake private lessons learning flute, and who are in Senior or Intermediate Concert Band or another large ensemble. Directed by a visiting tutor and professional in their field, this ensemble is designed for students learning flute to develop their chamber music ensemble skills.

This ensemble is open to students who have at least two years' experience on the flute. Students rehearse every Monday lunchtime from 12.45 – 1.30pm. Rehearsals start in Term 1, Week 3 and then every Monday during school terms until mid-Term 4 with various music performances across the school year.

This ensemble provides an encouraging environment for students to strengthen their tone, technique, intonation, and musicality, while learning to blend and perform as a unified section.
