Boys Soccer at Westminster is a popular and well-supported Winter sport, with strong representation across Years 7 to 9 and a developing Senior program. Our focus is on building a competitive and successful Soccer program through quality coaching, consistent player development and a strong team culture.

In 2027, we welcome Terry Sweeney as our new Coordinator of Soccer. Terry brings extensive coaching and player development experience from both England and Australia. Terry has previously held coaching and development roles with Football South Australia and Sturt Lions, where he has recently been appointed Head Coach of the Under 18 NPL team. His experience and expertise will play an important role in strengthening the quality, performance and direction of Soccer at Westminster.

Westminster competes in the SAAS Soccer competition, with a clear ambition to establish a strong, sustainable and consistently competitive program across all year levels. Our priorities are to develop technically skilled and tactically aware players, establish high standards of training and preparation and provide pathways for students aspiring to compete at higher levels.

In Years 7 to 9, the emphasis is on building strong technical foundations, tactical understanding and effective team play. Where possible, teams are organised within year levels to support continuity and player development. As students progress into Senior Soccer, the focus increasingly shifts towards competitive performance, with greater expectations around preparation and team success.

Beyond their School years, students can continue their involvement through the Westminster Dragons Old Scholars Soccer Club, providing a valuable pathway to senior community football.

Our ambition is to establish Westminster as a respected and consistently competitive Soccer program within SAAS, recognised for its quality coaching, strong player development and high standards of performance across all year levels.
