Westminster Weekly - Edition 70
Celebrating Our Year 12 Students
Next week will be a special one at Westminster as we celebrate our Year 12 students and all they have contributed to our School. It’s a time filled with laughter, reflection and gratitude as they enjoy their final days on campus.
To set themselves apart in Week 2, our Year 12’s will enjoy some light-hearted dress-up days, so don’t be surprised if they are looking a bit different.
- Monday: Crazy Hair/Wig Day (in Uniform)
- Tuesday: The First Letter of your Name
- Wednesday: Bring anything but a Bag (in Uniform)
- Thursday: Custom School Uniform
On Thursday 22 October, we’ll come together for their Last Day, a moment of celebration and farewell.
The student will enjoy breakfast together with their teachers followed by some in-school activities and Final House Meetings.
Unfortunately, we are unable to host parents for the Staff / Student Assembly held before the Guard of Honour. We simply do not have enough space in the Murray Centre to accommodate more than our students and staff.
From 12.30 to 1.00 pm, the gates will be closed as students and staff form a Guard of Honour along the ceremonial driveway. If you would like to attend the Year 12 Guard of Honour walk through, we ask that all Parents assemble near the steps of the Thomas Pavillion to see their children. The Westminster students will be lining the route, so we ask Parents meet at the Pavilion Steps.
This is certainly a non-compulsory event for families, and we understand many parents will not be able to attend.
This has become a meaningful tradition where our community gathers to cheer on our Year 12s as they walk through our school for the final time.
We look forward to celebrating our Year 12 students and all they have brought to our School community.
