Celebrating Success at the SA Chinese Language Awards
Congratulations to our talented Chinese language students who were recognised at the 28th South Australian Chinese Language Awards Ceremony, held at Seymour College.
Westminster students achieved outstanding results across the South Australian Chinese Outstanding Student Awards:
- Second Language: Isobel Broadbridge and Daniel Mengersen
- Background Speakers: Evelyn Cao and Jeremy Zhu
- First Language: Youlin Zheng
Our students also achieved impressive results in the SA Chinese Language Video Competition:
- First Place – Years 3–6 Second Language: Maria Kowalczyk and Sarah Donaldson
- First Place – Background Language: Leona Wang
- Third Place – Years 3–6 Second Language: Alice Forde and Violet Swalling
- Most Creative Award: Giselle Bouras and Danah Kim
- Most Cultural Presentation Award: Isobel Broadbridge
Adding to the celebrations, Claire Borgese, Dhruv Seshadri, Elois Guo, Elliot Dickinson, Mia Ma, Nivaan Singh, Ryan Roberts and Scarlett Coppers represented Westminster with a wonderful performance at the ceremony.
Congratulations to all students recognised for their achievement, creativity and commitment to Chinese language and culture.
LEGO Engineering & Robotics – Term 4 Club
Young Engineers will continue its LEGO Engineering & Robotics Club at Westminster Preparatory School in Term 4, offering students in Years 1–3 a hands-on way to explore STEM.
Through weekly sessions, students will investigate science, mathematics, engineering and robotics concepts while designing and building their own LEGO prototypes.
Sessions will run on Mondays from 3.30 pm to 5.00 pm across seven weeks, with places limited to 16 students.
Please note that due to building works for the new OSHC facility, Term 4 sessions will be held in Ms Best’s Year 1 classroom, next to the Health Centre.
