Westminster Weekly - Edition 55
Wear Pink Casual Day on Friday 5 June
On Friday 5 June, all Westminster students from ELC through to Year 12 are invited to participate in our Wear Pink Casual Day to help raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research and support services.
In Australia, it is estimated that 1 in 7 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, making it the most common cancer affecting women. This important day provides our school community with an opportunity to show support, raise awareness, and make a meaningful contribution to an important cause.
Students are encouraged to wear casual clothes with a splash of pink and bring along a gold coin donation.
Please note that normal expectations around casual day attire still apply, including:
• No open-toe shoes (no thongs/sandals etc)
• Normal hair regulations apply
• No visible jewellery
• No inappropriate messages or logos on clothing
Additionally, Year 7 students will be receiving vaccinations on this day and are asked to wear clothing that allows sleeves to be easily rolled up.
We look forward to seeing our school community come together in support of this worthwhile cause.
