A Message from the Acting Head of Senior School
As we near the end of term, I would like to share a few updates from across the Senior School.
Last weekend, our community gathered to celebrate Green and White on Saturday 14 March. Our students are to be commended for the maturity and positive interactions demonstrated throughout the evening.
On the School’s zero tolerance mobile phone policy implemented this term, we are encouraged by the way the vast majority of students are responding to this, both during the School day and in cocurricular settings.
A few reminders for families:
- The policy applies from the moment students arrive at School
- Phones must be stored in locked lockers throughout the day
- Tap cards are the only method of payment at the canteen
- If a card is declined, emergency lunches can be arranged through the Senior School Office
- A Level 3 consequence results in one day of internal suspension
- A Level 4 consequence results in one day of external suspension
We also appreciate the support of parents and community members in modelling these expectations when visiting the Dragon Café.
A reminder regarding uniform expectations:
- Students are to wear Westminster School socks with their formal uniform and Westminster Sports socks with PE uniform
- Shoe styles such as Nike Air Force Ones are not considered appropriate with the School uniform
Further information can be found in the Uniform Policy.
We are currently in an important period of assessment, with many subjects completing tasks to support and review student learning. If additional support is required, students are encouraged to speak with their Tutor Teacher, Head of Year or Head of House.
Thank you for your continued support of the School.
