Westminster Weekly - Edition 34
Preparatory School
A Message from the Head of Preparatory School
There’s no slowing down for our Prep School students in Term 4, with classrooms, stages and sports fields buzzing with energy and excitement.
Students have shone in recent weeks, taking to the stage for both the Co-curricular Dance Performance and the Prep Showcase. Thank you to all staff and families who supported the rehearsals and preparations that brought these joyful events to life.
On the sporting front, several students proudly represented Westminster at the SAPSASA Knockout Trials for Cricket and Tennis, and with Swimming Week just around the corner in Weeks 4 & 5, we look forward to seeing all the action poolside.
A special mention to our Year 6 students, who have been developing confidence, resilience and leadership through the Life Changer Program as they prepare for their transition to Senior School. On Thursday 21 November, they will attend Senior School Orientation Day, while our current Reception to Year 5 students will spend time with their 2026 teachers and classmates. We also look forward to welcoming new students who will be joining Westminster Prep next year – a wonderful milestone as we look ahead to a new school year.
To round out the term, there’s still plenty to come, including excursions for our Reception and Year 5 students, the Junior Primary Nativity, Carols on the Green and the Year 6 End of School Celebrations.
A final reminder to families about drop-off and pick-up times: to ensure the safety of all students, they must not be left on campus unsupervised before 8.20 am or after 3.45 pm. If your child needs to be at School outside these times, please ensure they are booked into OSHC. Your support with this is greatly appreciated.
Term 4 is famously busy but deeply rewarding, a true reflection of the enthusiasm, talent and community spirit that make Westminster Prep such a special place to learn and grow.
Simon McKenzie
Head of Preparatory School
