Aquatics and Water Safety Sessions (Years R–6)

Students from Years R–6 will take part in our Aquatics and Water Safety sessions as part of the Health and Physical Education program in Term 4.

These sessions are designed to help children develop essential water safety skills, confidence and awareness in aquatic environments. Through guided instruction and practical learning, students strengthen both their swimming ability and understanding of how to stay safe in and around the water.

Session Details

The sessions will be held at the Westminster Swimming Centre and taught by qualified Westswim instructors. Lessons will run daily from Monday 3 November to Thursday 13 November (Weeks 4 & 5). Each student will take part in a lesson every day for nine days.

Children will work in both class and ability groups, and instructors may adjust groupings where appropriate. The program places strong emphasis on water safety skills alongside swimming development.
