Looking Ahead to Camp Week
As the term begins to slow, we look forward to one of the highlights of the year, with Year 2 – 6 students participating in their School camps in Week 8.
School camps are an important part of Westminster’s educational journey. They give children the chance to develop independence, strengthen friendships and build confidence through activities that encourage teamwork, resilience and problem-solving. These experiences extend classroom learning into new environments and allow children to discover more about themselves and each other.
Detailed information about each year level’s camp, including packing lists and travel arrangements, has been shared with families and are available on our Parent Portal.
If you have any questions or require further details, please contact your child’s class teacher.

R U OK? Day 2025 – Transition to Year 2
Next Thursday 11 September, children in Transition to Year 2 will take part in R U OK? Day by adding a splash of yellow to their School day.
Wearing yellow accessories such as ribbons, socks or scrunchies is a simple way to show care for others and highlight the importance of checking in with friends.
Children are also encouraged to bring a gold coin donation in support of Kids Helpline (1800 55 1800), a vital service offering 24/7 counselling for children and young people across Australia. Every contribution helps ensure that support is always available to those who need it most.
At Westminster, even our youngest learners are encouraged to understand the importance of kindness, connection and care. R U OK? Day is a chance to build these foundations early, reminding children that a small gesture or thoughtful question can make a real difference in someone’s day.
