Westminster Agriculture at the 2025 Royal Adelaide Show

04 September 2025

Westminster students have excelled at the Royal Adelaide Show this past week, with achievements that reflect months of dedication, preparation and commitment.

Show Team Captain Becky Warren led a strong student leadership group across Led Steer, Merino Wethers, Led Goat, Dairy and Stud Sheep (Border Leicester). Team leaders included Jack Pridham (Led Steer), James Allison (Merino Wethers), Imogen Croser (Dairy) and Janet Wang (Led Goat).

We are grateful for the ongoing sponsorship of Thomas Foods International, whose support underpins both program development and our Show season. Many of our students commit two full terms (and often more) of early mornings, late nights and weekend work to prepare animals, products and themselves for the Show ring. That commitment showed this year.

Our sincere thanks to industry partners and supporters: Gus Llewellyn (Old Scholar), Josh Modra (Limousin Steer), Stephen Kellock, Mark Llewellyn, Martin & Kirsty Harvey (Paxton Stud), and Casey Treloar for her ongoing partnership in Dairy. Thanks also to Steve and Katrina Sanders for providing a steer and to Mark Vandeleur for sourcing this year’s Merinos. Special mention to Harry Nickolls for his steer advice throughout the season and for watching our cattle at the show.

Thank you to our Farm Managers Brendan Kloeden (BK) and Paul Nield for logistics and animal care, and to our Agriculture team, Andy Malcolm, Isabelle Linde and Tom Daly, for tireless hours through the season. We also acknowledge Angus Stuart (Class of 2024) for volunteering his time with the teams.

A well-drilled team led by Janet Wang and supported by Michael Leopardi. While our goats were a touch lean for the top placings this year, multiple students reached handlers’ finals, with our team excelling and placing second in the ATASA Most Professional Goat Team.

Thank you to our partners, families and staff who make it possible.
