Vale Kim Stratford
The Westminster community is deeply saddened by the passing of much-loved educator, colleague, parent and friend, Kim Stratford.

For eight years, Kim was a treasured member of Westminster, making a significant contribution to School life through the Mathematics Department, Pastoral Care team and her leadership as Head of Forder House.
Kim was an exceptional and deeply respected educator who cared enormously about her students and the wider Westminster community.
While Mathematics was at the heart of her teaching, Kim’s impact extended far beyond the classroom. Through her pastoral care and leadership of Forder House, she supported and encouraged countless students throughout their School journey.
Kim also shared a special connection with Westminster as a parent, giving her an understanding of the School community from both perspectives. The close relationships she formed with students, families and colleagues reflected the warmth, generosity and genuine care she brought to those around her.
Acting Principal Andrew Whiteman said Kim would be remembered with enormous affection across Westminster.
“Kim was a much-loved member of our community and someone who made a lasting difference to so many people during her eight years at Westminster.
“She was an exceptional educator, a valued colleague and a dear friend to many. Kim cared deeply about her students and the people around her and the relationships she formed are testament to the person she was.
“Her loss will be deeply felt across Westminster, particularly by her colleagues in the Mathematics Department and by the many students she taught, supported and encouraged over the years.”
The thoughts and deepest sympathies of the entire Westminster community are with Kim’s husband, Dan, their three children, Lewis, Bella and Will and all of Kim’s family and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.
A funeral will be held for Mrs Stratford on October 24 at Centennial Park Cemetery.
Her family have extended an invitation to all those who knew and loved her.
Westminster School will hold a memorial service on Tuesday 27 October from 4.00 pm to 5.00 pm in the Sir Shirley Jeffries Memorial Chapel, bringing together staff, students, families and Old Scholars to honour Kim’s life and celebrate her contribution to our School community.
