Winter Uniform Expectations
Dear parents and carers,
As the days grow cooler and our campus settles into the rhythm of winter, it’s timely to pause and reflect on something that is often topical amongst our students—the School uniform.
When worn with care and pride, the uniform speaks volumes. It reflects character, respect and the high standards we hold for ourselves and one another. It is a visible expression of the sense of belonging that comes with being part of Westminster.
We are calling on the support of families to help ensure students wear uniform items as intended.
Students are expected to wear the School blazer to and from School each day. Shirts must be neatly tucked in, with the top button fastened beneath a correctly tied School tie. Trousers must be full length—cropped or ankle-length styles are not permitted. Skirts are to be worn no higher than the knee, while hair should be tidy, well-groomed and natural in colour.
By wearing the uniform with care and pride, students contribute to the respectful and inclusive environment that defines our Westminster community.
We understand that discussions around uniform can prompt robust conversations. However, these shared standards are an important reminder that how we present ourselves to the world matters—and that wearing the Westminster logo is something to take pride in.
Thank you for your support in maintaining these expectations. Together, we are shaping not only a strong School culture, but thoughtful young people prepared for life beyond the classroom.
