Westminster Leads the Way in National Swim Awards

Westminster is proud to be the only South Australian school recognised in the 2025 AUSTSWIM Awards, with two nominations celebrating the strength of our WestSwim program and the expertise of our staff.

Our WestSwim program has been nominated for Swim School of the Year (Large), acknowledging the outstanding aquatic education and water safety outcomes we deliver to the community.

In addition, Sophie Wanstall, Manager of our Sports and Swim Centre, has been nominated for Specialist Teacher of the Year. Sophie has been part of the leadership team at WestSwim since 2022 and stepped into the manager role in early 2023. She is passionate about creating a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment, and is deeply committed to helping every student thrive.

The AUSTSWIM Awards honour individuals, swim schools and organisations across Australia that achieve the highest standards of excellence in aquatic education. Being nominated is an exceptional acknowledgement of the strength of our program, our people, and our commitment to equipping children with lifesaving skills in, on and around water.
