Maria Kowalczyk, Year 4

Represented South Australia at the National Cross-Country Championships in Queensland.

Saoirse Aherne, Year 5

Invited to join the Diving Australia National Talent Program through to the end of 2026, placing her on the official Olympic pathway and aiming for selection in the National Junior Squad in 2027.

Charlotte Williams-Cox, Year 6

Represented South Australia at the National Cross-Country Championships in Queensland.

Will McManus, Year 6

Represented South Australia at the National Cross-Country Championships in Queensland.

Will Stratford, Year 6

Selected in the Under 12 State Cricket Team.

Jonah Siddons, Year 7

Selected in the Under 12 State Cricket Team.

Molly Gibson, Year 8

Recently competed in the Koorana Gymnastics Team Gym Interclub Competition as part of the Koorana Rose Pink Team, achieving an outstanding clean sweep with Gold on Floor, Tumbling, Mini-tramp and Overall.

Ava Bode, Year 8

Competed at the Diving Championships, earning a bronze medal in the mixed synchro event, finishing 5th in Platform and achieving several other top 10 placings.

Tina Tian, Year 8

Achieved a High Distinction in the Australian Mathematics Trust Challenge and a Distinction in the Hamann School Mathematics Competition. She also competed in the Australian Intermediate Mathematics Olympiad. Beyond school, Tina took part in several international competitions in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and space city design—gaining valuable experience at the ICO, IOAI and GFSSM events.

Emmy Andrews, Year 10

Competed at the National Equestrian Championships, showcasing her riding skills at the highest level.

Myles Reed, Year 10

Represented South Australia at the Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Junior National Camp at the AIS in Canberra, where he qualified for the finals and captured the Junior International Vault title for Australia.

Aijay Willoughby, Year 11

Travelled to Sri Lanka to represent Australia in the Under 19 Women’s Cricket team.

Charlie Pedler, Year 11

Named Open A2 Basketball Player of the Year at the SAAS Awards Evening. After recovering from an ACL injury, Charlie led Westminster’s Open Boys team to a memorable Intercol victory over Pembroke.

Izzy Demasi-Chapman, Year 11

Swam at the Swimming Nationals and was also invited to attend an elite AIS training camp.

Paige Grigg, Year 11

Qualified for and competed in the Sailing Nationals, representing Westminster with distinction on the water.

Dayna Harrison, Year 11

Captured her first International Doubles Title in the 18U age group at a recent Junior International tournament—an impressive achievement that lifts her ranking.

Gerard McGinley, Year 11

Represented Australia in the U21 Korfball team at the IKF U21 Asia-Oceania Championship in Leshan, China. Despite challenging conditions, the team ranked 8th and Gerard impressed with strong defence and 10 goals across the tournament.

Emily Mableson, Year 12

Emily has been selected for the 2025 Marsh AFL National Futures Squad, recognising her talent and commitment to Australian Rules football.

Naomi Phegan, Year 12

Represented Australia at the World Shooting handgun Championships.

James Young, Year 12

Represented Australia in Flag Football (Gridiron) during a recent international competition in Los Angeles.

Community

Ethan Greenfield, Year 7

Ethan was recognised with the Boothby Volunteer Award and continues to serve as a proud Diabetes Ambassador, raising awareness and supporting the community.

Music

Flute Eisteddfod

On August 10, the Westminster School Flute Ensemble competed in the ‘Primary and Secondary Flute Ensemble’ section of the Adelaide Eisteddfod, earning 3rd place.

Students Alyssa Williams (Year 7), Katherine Ma (Year 8), Grace Mrotek (Year 9), Anwyl Wong (Year 11) and Eva Bratkovic (Year 12) performed at an exceptionally high level and represented the school with distinction. Congratulations to all involved on this impressive result.

Percy McIntosh, Year 6

Percy was awarded first prize in the Junior Textiles event at the 2025 Royal Adelaide Show—a wonderful recognition of creativity and skill.
