Westminster Appoints New Director of Boarding
Westminster has welcomed Dee Guillemot-Rodgerson as the School’s new Director of Boarding, an experienced leader with more than three decades dedicated to boarding life.
Joining Westminster from St Andrew’s College in New Zealand, Dee brings extensive experience leading large and diverse boarding environments, alongside a deep understanding of the trust families place in a School community.
Dee is widely respected for building connected and supportive boarding communities, with a leadership style grounded in care, empathy and genuine connection.
Acting Principal Andrew Whiteman said the appointment represents a significant moment for the School.
“This is an important appointment for Westminster. Dee brings both experience and a genuine understanding of what makes a boarding community flourish,” he said.
“We are confident Dee will build on the strong foundations already in place and continue to shape a positive and enriching environment for our boarding students.”
Dee also brings significant sector leadership experience, serving as Director of International Strategy with the Australian Boarding Schools Association and previously as National Coordinator of the New Zealand Boarding Schools Association for thirteen years.
Dee’s appointment comes at an important time as the School continues to strengthen and evolve this vital part of its community.
“Boarding has been my life’s work. It is community, rhythm, responsibility, humour, big conversations and steady leadership, often all before breakfast,” Dee said.
“I am delighted to be joining Westminster and look forward to getting to know our students, families and staff, and contributing to a boarding community where every student feels a strong sense of belonging.”
In her first days at Westminster, Dee has begun connecting with students, families and staff, taking time to listen and understand the rhythms of boarding life.
Today, Westminster’s boarding community brings together students from across South Australia, including the Murraylands, Eyre Peninsula, Kangaroo Island, the Far North, Riverland, Limestone Coast, Barossa Valley, Clare Valley and Fleurieu Peninsula, as well as families from interstate including New South Wales, Northern Territory, Victoria and Queensland.
Many families have a long-standing connection to boarding at Westminster, with an increasing number returning across generations. This strong sense of connection is reflected in the way families become genuine advocates for the School, sharing their experiences and supporting the continued growth of the boarding community.
