Percussion Ensemble

Percussion Ensemble is open to students in Years 7 – 12 who undertake piano and/or percussion lessons.  This ensemble is designed for students to experience an ensemble specifically designed to enhance the skills of these instrumentalists and expose them to a wide variety of genres of music. Students in this group are already members of a core ensemble, however for some this may be considered their core ensemble due to the nature of the instruments.

Percussion ensemble suits students with at least one year's experience of their instrument. Rehearsing every Monday morning from 7.30am – 8.40am, starting in Term 1, week 3. Rehearsals then occur every Monday morning during school terms until mid-Term 4. Students will be required to arrive at 7.20am, ready for a 7.30am start. They will need to bring their music, required equipment and a pencil to every rehearsal and mostly be prepared to play both tuned and untuned percussion. 

There are several performances throughout the year including Autumn Bandstand and ABODA, to name a few.
