New Leadership to Elevate Student Experience and Global Citizenship
Westminster has appointed Chris McElligott as Head of Student Experience and Global Engagement, a new role that will strengthen the School’s focus on wellbeing, global citizenship and the holistic development of every student.
Chris brings extensive leadership experience from his role as Head of Senior and Middle School at Tatachilla Lutheran College, where he shaped student culture, wellbeing and engagement across multiple year levels. A values-driven educator, Chris champions student agency, empathy and intercultural understanding.
Westminster Principal Simon Shepherd said Chris’ appointment will support the School’s expanding global engagement opportunities and enrich the broader student journey.
“Chris brings a thoughtful and future-focused approach to student experience that aligns with the values of our School,” he said.
“His understanding of wellbeing, engagement and global citizenship will strengthen the environment we create for our students and support them to grow with confidence and purpose.”
Chris is also completing a Masters with a focus on Neuroscience, strengthening his evidence-informed approach to enhancing the student experience and supporting the way young people learn and thrive.
Westminster looks forward to welcoming Chris to the School community in 2026.
