Junior Boys' Cricket
Cricket at Westminster continues to be one of the Schools proudest sporting traditions, combining performance, participation and respect for the game while upholding the expectations outlined in the Co-curricular Code of Conduct.
In Years 7 to 9 we offer a tailored experience that supports each child at their stage of development. Those playing at a higher level are exposed to more traditional competitive fixtures while those earlier in their cricket journey take part in a participation-focused program where every player receives meaningful opportunity to bat, bowl and field.
Teams are generally organised by year level so students have the opportunity to play with classmates. However, depending on numbers, two year levels may be combined to form a team for example a Year 8 and 9 team.
Where we have enough numbers for two teams in a year level, an A and B side will be selected. Players can move between these teams across the season based on development, performance and attitude.
