Celebrating Our Year 12 Students
Next week will be a special one at Westminster as we celebrate our Year 12 students and all they have contributed to our School. It’s a time filled with laughter, reflection and gratitude as they enjoy their final days on campus.
To set themselves apart in Week 2, our Year 12’s will enjoy some light-hearted dress-up days, so don’t be surprised if they are looking a bit different:
- Monday: Crazy Hair Day
- Tuesday: Iconic Individual, Duo, Trio or Group
- Wednesday: Bring anything but a Bag
- Thursday: Custom School Uniform
On Thursday 23 October, we’ll come together for their Last Day, a moment of celebration and farewell.
From 12.15 to 1.00 pm, the gates will be closed as students and staff form a Guard of Honour along the ceremonial driveway.
This has become a meaningful tradition where our community gathers to cheer on our Year 12s as they walk through for the final time.
We look forward to celebrating our Year 12 students and all they have brought to our School community.
Running Technique and Speed Training returns in Term 4
Our specialist Running Technique and Speed Training program resumes in Week 1, Term 4, with sessions beginning on Wednesday 15 October at 7.30 am, meeting at the Thomas Pavilion.
Open to all, the program is for students who are motivated to improve their speed, acceleration and running technique—regardless of the sport they play. Led by Athletic Performance Coach Gerard Dutton, it provides expert coaching in a supportive environment where every student can develop and refine their skills.
Students are welcome to trial the first one or two sessions to see if it suits them. After that, regular weekly attendance for the Term is expected to ensure they gain the full benefit of the program.
