Westminster Netball Shines in State Grand Finals

Congratulations to our Netball teams who competed Wednesday in the Grand Finals of the School Sport SA State Knockout at Netball SA.

Our Year 9/10 team advanced to the Grand Final after a memorable one-goal victory over Immanuel earlier in the day. In the decider against Tenison Woods, the team battled valiantly but were unable to close the gap on the scoreboard, eventually going down 25–34. This young group has shown incredible promise, and with so much talent and potential, the future of Westminster Netball looks very bright.

Our Open team continued their undefeated and dominant season with a comprehensive Grand Final win over Scotch, 43–15. This ‘once in a generation’ team has been outstanding all year, but perhaps the most impressive aspect has been the humility and respect they have consistently displayed while achieving such success.

We now look ahead to Saturday 6 September, when Westminster will host the IGSSA Netball Grand Finals. Our Premier League, Premier League Reserves, 10B and 8B teams will all compete for Premiership glory, and we look forward to seeing the Westminster community out in force to support them.
