Brave Finish for Westminster Soccer in Semi-Final

Our Premier League Soccer team did Westminster proud this week in the IGSSA semi-final against Wilderness.

Coming off a hard-fought Intercol match that went into overtime, the team backed up quickly for their semi-final.

Despite being slightly depleted through injuries, the students showed great bravery in defeat. While the result was disappointing, it does not diminish what has been a terrific season in their first year competing in the Premier League.

Coach Alicia Borg praised the team’s sensational development and progress since the start of the year. With most of the squad returning next season, there is strong feeling that soccer at Westminster is well and truly on the rise.
