ABODA Festival Returns to Westminster
Westminster is once again proud to host the South Australian Student Band and Orchestra Festival (ABODA), from Tuesday 12 August to Friday 15 August.
This year’s competitive festival welcomes more than 130 schools and over 2,000 students and staff from across South Australia who will perform alongside the 10 Westminster bands and ensembles participating in this significant event.
With such a large-scale event, please note there will be increased traffic and bus movement around the School during this period. Specifically, the bus zones in Alison Ave will be reserved for bus movement and parking from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm for each day of ABODA.
All ABODA visitors, including our own families, are asked to check in at the Michael Murray Centre for Performing Arts visitor point to receive a visitor pass/sticker.
While on campus, all Westminster parents and carers, as well as families visiting from other schools, are welcome to visit the Dragon Café, which will remain open throughout the day. Please note, as is the case now, that our Year 12 students will be able to use the Dragon Café as they would normally do. Likewise, students up to Year 11 will not be able to make purchases from the Dragon Café during school hours but will be able to access outside of the school day. The same restrictions will apply to all visiting students (including Year 12), here for ABODA.
We wish all students performing the very best for their sectional/s.
