Westminster Year 4 Camp - Mylor Adventure Camp
Wednesday 11 to Friday 13 September
Taking place at the beautiful Mylor Adventure Camp, the experience is facilitated by Baptist Care SA staff in partnership with our Year 4 teachers and Westminster staff.
Camp provides the ideal setting for children to build friendships, develop independence and engage in fun physical challenges - all while surrounded by nature. We look forward to sharing this adventure with your child.
Preparing for Camp
Each child comes to camp with different experiences of being away from home. To support a smooth transition, we encourage families to help children prepare for the overnight aspect of camp by:
- Arranging a sleepover with a trusted friend or relative
- Visiting the Mylor Adventure Camp website together
- Involving your child in packing and selecting gear
- Including a comfort item (soft toy or blanket) if needed
- Practising basic routines such as cleaning up and dish drying
- Focusing on the fun and excitement of camp through positive conversations
- Encouraging journaling during camp to reflect on their experience
Your calm and confident approach will reassure your child that camp is a positive step in their growth.
