Westminster operates its own network of School buses in partnership with Willunga Charter. All services will resume from the morning of Wednesday 28 January 2026, the first day of Term 1.
Ticket Prices for 2026
- Casual user: $5.80 per trip (am or pm)
- Term 1 pass: $350 (10 weeks)
- Term 2 pass: $350 (10 weeks)
- Term 3 pass: $350 (10 weeks)
- Term 4 pass: $280 (8 weeks)
Willunga Charter App
Families new to the School Bus service will need to download the Willunga Charter App to open an account. Each child will be listed under your account.
Please use the email address registered with the School and select ‘forgot password’ to create your login.
The Willunga Charter App, 2026 Bus Pricing and School Bus routes for both morning and afternoon services can be accessed via the School website.
Important Information for Families
- Term passes are paid upfront as a one-off. Casual trips are deducted from your child’s account. Families are encouraged to keep accounts topped up to allow for six trips ($34.80) or to maintain a minimum balance of $30.
- At the start of each year, some routes, stops or timings may be adjusted to meet changing demand. Families using affected services will be notified should any significant changes occur.
- Students who already have a Student ID card from 2025 or a Preparatory School bus pass may continue to use this card to swipe on and off the bus.
- 2026 Student ID cards will be issued approximately three weeks into term and will replace 2025 cards.
- Preparatory School students will continue to use their issued School Bus card.
- If a student does not yet have a Student ID or School Bus pass, their name can be selected on the iPad located on each bus.
- School buses arrive and depart from the long stretch of Alison Avenue in front of the Senior School.
Booking and First-Time Users
There is no requirement to book a place on a School bus. However, families using the service for the first time and intending to commence travel from the morning service on Wednesday 28 January 2026 are asked to notify the School as soon as possible.
Please email schoolbus@westminster.sa.edu.au with your intended bus run and stop. This allows Willunga Charter to be aware of new students, particularly where a stop has not previously been used.
Bus Routes
There are seven daily bus runs servicing a wide range of metropolitan and regional areas:
- West Lakes (A)
- Aldgate (B)
- Happy Valley (C)
- Unley (D)
- Willunga (E)
- Burnside (F)
- Moana (G)
These services cover much of Adelaide’s south, east and west, with day students travelling from more than 90 suburbs, as well as surrounding regions including the Adelaide Hills and Fleurieu Peninsula, extending as far south as Victor Harbor.
Applicable Processing Fees
- If a student account has a negative balance by the start of the second week of each term’s holidays, the balance will be transferred to your family School Fee account with a $25.00 processing fee applied.
- A student account balance in credit, where the student will no longer be using the School bus service, can be transferred to a sibling’s account on request, if applicable, otherwise a refund will attract a $10.00 processing fee.
