Westminster Year 3 Camp
AFL Max, Thursday 12 to Friday 13 September (Week 8)
We are excited to share that the Year 3 Camp will be held at AFL Max, running from Thursday 12 to Friday 13 September. This overnight camp is a valuable opportunity for students to challenge themselves physically, strengthen friendships and build independence in a supportive and engaging environment.
The camp will be hosted by the experienced team at AFL Max, in partnership with the Year 3 teachers and Westminster staff.
Preparing for Camp
To support your child in having a successful and positive experience, we encourage you to begin preparing early. Many Year 3 students will be spending a night away from home for the first time. Consider the following strategies to help your child get ready:
- Visit the AFL Max website and talk about the activities together
- Arrange sleepovers with a trusted friend or relative
- Involve your child in packing and any camp purchases
- Pack a comfort item (toy or blanket) if it helps them settle
- Encourage journaling while on camp
- Practice helpful skills such as drying dishes and tidying up
- Share your excitement and talk about the fun they will have
Your confidence and positivity about the camp experience will help your child feel assured and ready.
