England and France, 2027

This Senior School cricket experience combines high-quality schoolboy fixtures in Scotland and England with cultural learning in the UK and France. Students will compete against renowned schools, attend the Felsted Cricket Festival, and visit historical and cultural sites in Bath, London, and Paris.

Dates:

Depart Adelaide Thursday 17 June 2027, arriving Edinburgh Friday 18 June 2027 – returning 13 July 2027

Travel Information: 

Estimated student cost: $11,500 – $12,000 (subject to final flight pricing, exchange rates and confirmed numbers).

Note: As this is an international trip, a valid passport with at least six months before expiry is required to attend.

Expressions of Interest

Open to Years 10–12 boys who are committed to the Westminster cricket program.

Performance-based selection to take a balanced, competitive squad; English schoolboy cricket is strong.

Consideration of character: behaviour, maturity, resilience (away for ~3+ weeks), teamwork and being a “good tourist”.

Students must be academically up to date given two weeks of term time are missed.

Final selections made by the Tour Manager, Assistant Manager and First XI Coach with input from Junior Coaches, Heads of House and teachers.

Training & preparation

Pre-tour fitness and skills program will run across Terms 2–4 with additional winter sessions as required.

How to apply

  1. Submit an expression of interest (EOI) via the online form (link provided to families following the information session).
  2. Short-listed students may be asked to participate in additional training/fixtures during Term 2–3, 2026.
  3. Successful applicants will receive a formal offer, uniform fitting details and the payment schedule.

Inclusions

Return international flights (Adelaide ↔ UK/Europe).

Coach transport across the UK; Dover–Calais ferry.

22 nights accommodation (mix of hotels/hostels and billeting) on a bed & breakfast basis.

Cricket program: nine fixtures across Scotland and England plus four days at the Felsted Cricket Festival.

Exclusions: Australian domestic airport transfers, visas/entry taxes (if required), some meals, insurance, personal expenses, and any accommodation city taxes/damage deposits.

Uniform & equipment

Tour uniform (playing and leisure) will be issued prior to departure. Students must bring their own protective gear and bats (in good repair) and a soft bag suitable for coach travel.

Payments and Conditions

Deposit and staged payment schedule will be issued upon offer of a place.

Fundraising opportunities (e.g. auction night, BBQs, raffles) may be coordinated by interested families.

Comprehensive travel insurance strongly recommended (details supplied to touring families).

Days 1-2

Fly Adelaide Thursday 17 June, arrive Edinburgh Friday 18 June.

Enjoy two nights in Edinburgh and complete a self-led city walk taking in Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile.

Days 3-4

Fixture at George Watson’s College (TBC).

Fixture at Durham School (pencilled in).

Travel south with a rest day in York before heading to Stowe; final confirmation of the York stop will depend on scheduling.

Days 5-10

Continue into the Cheltenham/Cotswolds region: play Clifton College and Monkton Combe, visit the Roman Baths (Bath).

Days 11-12

Transfer to London for matches and time at Lord’s/The Home of Cricket and key landmarks.

Days 13-16

Felsted Cricket Festival (four days, Essex) alongside UK and international schools.

Days 17-19

Cross to the Continent (via Dover–Calais).

Stay in Belgium/France, including the Sir John Monash Centre and Western Front sites.

Days 20-22

Finish in Paris with a hop-on hop-off bus pass and a Seine River Cruise.

Day 23

Depart Paris for Adelaide.
