Japan, 2026

Westminster School is delighted to offer Senior School students the opportunity to participate in a Japan Snow Tour in 2026. Students will experience world-class skiing in Hakuba, as well as cultural highlights in Tokyo, while travelling with friends and staff in a safe and supported environment.

Dates:

Saturday 10 January – Wednesday 21 January 2026

Travel Information: 

Students will depart from Adelaide, flying via Singapore with Singapore Airlines

Note: As this is an international trip, a valid passport with at least six months before expiry is required to attend.

Cost: 

The estimated cost for the 2026 tour is approximately $8500 (subject to final bookings), with a payment plan available.

Expressions of Interest close at 9.00 am, Thursday 28 August 2025.

Please note: This is not confirmation of attendance. Submitting an Expression of Interest will place students on the shortlist for consideration.

A deposit of $1,500 will be required by Friday 12 September 2025 should your child be selected to attend.

Packing List

Luggage
  • Large suitcase (checked luggage – max 25kg; recommended under 18kg)
  • Backpack (carry-on – max 7kg)

Please ensure your suitcase is clearly labelled with your name, address, and Westminster School.

Essential Documents
  • Passport (valid for at least six months beyond the return date)
  • Prescription medications (packed separately according to instructions)
Snow Gear
  • Wool or polypropylene thermal top
  • Wool or polypropylene leggings
  • Fleece or wool mid-layers (ideally one thick and one thin)
  • Waterproof jacket suitable for snowsports
  • Waterproof ski or over-pants
  • Waterproof snow gloves or mittens
  • Wool-blend ski socks
  • Beanie, balaclava, and/or neck warmer
  • Snow goggles
  • Sturdy waterproof footwear
Casual Clothing
  • T-shirts (short and long sleeve)
  • Shorts, jeans, track pants
  • Jumper/cardigans and warm jacket
  • Thin puffer jacket or coat for night outings
  • Casual clothes for evenings and down time
  • Sleepwear
  • Plenty of socks and underwear
  • Covered walking shoes
  • Thongs/sandals for use in accommodation only
Personal Items
  • Basic toiletries (travel size toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant – no spray cans, hairbrush, etc.)
  • Sunglasses, sunscreen and hat
  • Copy of passport (provided), home address and emergency contact details
  • Mobile phone and charger
  • Travel SIM or international roaming (Wi-Fi is available in all hotels)
  • Hygiene products (personal items as needed)
  • Mini packs of tissues
  • Plastic bags for dirty laundry and shoes
  • Mini games or books for travel
Clothing Expectations

All clothing and accessories must be appropriate and in keeping with Westminster School Casual Day standards. Tour staff reserve the right to ask a student to change their attire if required.

Collect ski and clothing hire at Spicey Rental (2.30 pm)

Check in at Hakuba Alps Hotel Norikura (4.00 pm)
