Prep School Swimming Weeks (Years R–6)
Students from Years R–6 will take part in our Aquatics and Water Safety sessions as part of the Health and Physical Education program this term.
These sessions are designed to build children’s confidence, skills and awareness in aquatic environments.
Lessons will be held at the Westminster Swimming Centre from Monday 3 November to Thursday 13 November (Weeks 4 & 5), with daily sessions led by qualified Westswim instructors.
Children will work in class and ability groups, with adjustments made where needed to support learning and progress.
Scholastic Book Club Term 4
We will have two Scholastic Book Club catalogues sent out in Term 4, in Week 1 and again in Week 5. If you are shopping for Christmas presents, Scholastic have a ‘Gift’ discreet pick-up option, meaning we won’t deliver the books to your child, you will be able to come in and collect the books from us in the library in your own time.
Our first catalogue should come home to you this week. The cut-off date for school collection orders is COB Friday 24 October. Any orders placed after this will incur a delivery fee and be sent straight to your home. Parents can place orders online using the LOOP system which allows you to pay by credit card. Please note: no cash orders will be accepted.
Haslam Library Opening Hours
The Haslam Library is now staffed until 3.40 pm each afternoon and open from 8.20 am each morning. Please note that, due to the relocation of OSHC, the Library is no longer available for parents, families or tutors after school.
Junior Primary Pop-Up Tuck Shop
There’s something special coming for our Junior Primary students. Starting next Friday 24 October 2025, they’ll have their own pop-up tuck shop just steps from their classrooms.
This new addition means our youngest students will no longer need to walk up to the Upper Primary canteen. Instead, they can enjoy a range of treats right near their classrooms.
The Junior Primary Pop-Up Tuck Shop, available to students in Transition, Reception and Year 1, will be located beside the new Transition classrooms near the playground. It will operate on Wednesdays and Fridays throughout Term 4, beginning Friday 24 October 2025.
Please note that lunch orders will continue to be delivered as usual on all days. The pop-up tuck shop simply provides added convenience for small snack and treat purchases.

No Hat, No Play
As we step into the sunny days of Term 4, it’s time for our annual reminder that hats are an essential part of the School uniform.
In line with our SunSmart policy, students must wear a hat whenever they are outside – for PE, recess and during lunch.
In short, no hat, no play.
Please ensure your child’s hat is clearly named and brought to School each day.
We recommend keeping it at School to avoid the mysterious daily disappearance that can occur somewhere between the car and the classroom.
Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe, sun-protected and ready to enjoy the great outdoors this term.
Year 6 Students Raise $3,300 for Charity
As part of their HASS enquiry into how businesses operate, our Year 6 students recently enjoyed an excursion to the Adelaide Central Market where they learned firsthand about sourcing, selling and running a business. This experience prepared them well for the much-anticipated annual Year 6 Market Stalls, held on Wednesday 3 September.
The event was a vibrant and lively occasion, with stalls offering a wide range of food, creative crafts and entertaining games. Everyone enjoyed the atmosphere while supporting the hard work of our budding entrepreneurs.
We are proud to share that this year’s market raised an impressive $3,300, which the students have chosen to donate to Cancer Council. Their teamwork, creativity and generosity were on full display, and the day was a wonderful example of adventurous learning in action at Westminster.
We thank all parents and carers for supporting the students and helping raise these funds for charity.
