Hands-On Oral Health Workshop
On Tuesday 17 June, Year 3 and 4 Students will participate in a fun and engaging hands-on oral health workshop led by dental professionals from the Curaden Academy. Designed to help students build lifelong habits, this interactive session will teach essential brushing skills with a clear focus on prevention. Each student will receive step-by-step guidance on proper brushing techniques and take home a Swiss-made Curaprox toothbrush and toothpaste to support healthy habits. This workshop is a great opportunity to promote confident, lifelong oral care.
Prep School Runners Selected for SAPSASA Cross Country State Team
On Thursday 5 June, five Prep School students proudly represented Westminster in the South-West SAPSASA Cross Country Team – a significant achievement given more than 300 students were vying for selection. To make the team, each runner needed to finish in the top six for their birth year at the qualifying event.
At Oakbank, Westminster was represented by two strong runners in the 12-year-old category – Will McManus and Charlotte Williams-Cox. Both showed their calibre, each finishing fourth in their respective races and earning selection to represent South Australia at the State Championships on the Gold Coast later this year.
In the 10-year-old category, Maria Kowalczyk, Alice Davison and Reuben Miller all gave their best. Reuben finished 42nd, delivering one of his strongest runs yet. Maria’s dedication is evident in the way she trains independently in her own time. Her hard work paid off, finishing fourth and joining the State Team heading to the Gold Coast. Alice placed 44th in the same race, demonstrating determination, grit and a positive mindset from start to finish.
Congratulations to all five students!
