Westminster Co-curricular Code of Conduct
One of the great highlights of Co-curricular life at Westminster is seeing the genuine excitement students bring to their activities. Whether just beginning in the Prep School or striving for excellence in Senior School, that spark, when they fall in love with a game, a challenge, a production or a team, is something we never take for granted.
As parents, coaches and staff, we share in this journey. What begins as a bit of fun after school can quickly become something far more meaningful. Weekends revolve around fixtures or rehearsals. Family time shifts to support performances, games and tours. Along the way come moments of pride and joy, but also times of pressure and disappointment. Through it all, the lessons our children learn about resilience and self-belief are far greater than any result or scoreline.
At Westminster, we encourage students to be adventurous. This means more than just giving things a go, it means having the courage to persist when challenges arise, and the wisdom to step back when balance is needed. It reminds us that our children are more than their sport, their role, their team or their performance on any given day. Their value lies in who they are becoming through these shared experiences.
Our Co-curricular Code of Conduct exists to guide this growth. It sets out the standards of behaviour expected from students, staff, coaches, parents and spectators across every Co-curricular setting, on the stage, field, court, rehearsal room or club meeting. It is underpinned by our School Values of Brave, Humble, Kind, Authentic, Resilient and Curious, which together help us build a culture where every student feels supported to flourish.
This Code is not a list of rules, it is a shared understanding of how we represent Westminster, and how we contribute to a community that celebrates effort, respect and growth above all else.
