VACSWIM at Westminster School
Each January, Westminster School proudly hosts VACSWIM during Block 4 of the school holiday period.
VACSWIM is a vital water safety initiative, supported by the South Australian Government and administered by Surf Life Saving SA. Designed for children aged 3 to 12 years, the program provides essential water skills to ensure confidence and safety in aquatic environments.
Through VACSWIM, participants develop:
✅ Water safety awareness
✅ Confidence in and around water
✅ Fundamental swimming skills
✅ Personal survival techniques
✅ Basic aquatic emergency response skills
For older participants aged 13 to 15 years, select locations also offer extension programs such as Water Rescues and Community Pool/Surf Rescue, allowing teens to further develop their skills and water safety knowledge.
We are proud to be part of this long-standing and highly regarded program, helping children build a lifelong appreciation for water safety. Enrolments open from November 2025.
