Westminster Weekly - Edition 15
Final Call for Billet Families
We are truly grateful to the many Westminster families who have generously offered to host students for the 23rd Australian Combined Schools Music Festival next month.
Your willingness to welcome visiting children into your homes speaks volumes about the strength and spirit of our community.
While many have stepped forward, we have not yet reached our target and still need to find placements for 60 more students.
Westminster is proud to host this inspiring national event, which will bring together nearly 140 talented young musicians from across Australia.
Guided by acclaimed conductors, students will rehearse and perform across four days, culminating in a moving and memorable Festival Concert on Sunday 22 June.
What’s Involved in Hosting
If you are in a position to help, we ask for:
- Accommodation and care for one or more students from Wednesday 18 June to Sunday 22 June
- Provision of packed lunches, snacks and evening meals (Friday dinner is provided at a student social event)
- Daily transport to and from Westminster
- A separate bed for each student (sofa beds or mattresses are suitable; students may share a room)
Hosting in pairs is preferred, but we also welcome single billets and offers to accommodate more than two students.
