Student Achievements - Edition 4 - 2021

Congratulations to the following students on their achievements...

Recently a group of our Senior students participated in the Volleyball SA Beach Festival at Glenelg Beach. Following our successes at the Beach Festival in November last year, the expectations were quite high for some of our returning players. Our two Year 8 teams gained some great experience on the sand and made some new friends in the process. Our Year 10 and 11 boys' teams all competed in the Open Division, with all three teams making it through to the semi-finals. A Westminster vs Westminster final guaranteed us the silver and gold at the conclusion of the day's events. Congratulations to all players for representing the school so well.

A group of our Senior students recently competed in the School Surf Competition. Quinn Auricht, Byron Robertson (Open), Jack Bright and Alex Grimley (U16) were eliminated in the quarter-finals. Jack was best in his heat across all surfers. Stella Senior and Harriet Robertson also managed to get to the finals, and they finished second overall. In the U16 event, Elka Haywood and Keira Hunt got to the semi-finals. Lucia Rawson and Ella Green finished 1st and 2nd in Whitewater. Thank you to Harry Higgins, Sienna Jones and Stella Haywood who supported the day well.

Stella Senior recently competed in the South Australian Junior Berry Bay Surf Competition and won the Under 18 Girls’ competition. This is the second year in a row that Stella has won this competition, which is held at Berry Bay on the Yorke Peninsula. Congratulations Stella.

Will Mattinson recently competed in the State Athletic Championships and in the Under 17 category managed to come 1st in Pole Vault with a distance of 3.05 m. Congratulations Will.
