Student Achievements - Edition 18 - 2021

Congratulations to the following students on their achievements...

We had five students compete at School Sport SA Cricket Championships two weeks ago. Aijay Willoughby (Co-Captain) and Adelle Parkinson-Need represented the Western Metropolitan District Girls Team. They only lost one game for the week and were runners up for the tournament.

Charlie Bradford (Captain), Henry Rodda and Ashwin Venugopal represented the South West District boys’ team. They won the Division 2 final and were undefeated for the week.

Last week Dayna Harrison (Year 7) and Sienna Privopolous (Year 7) represented the South West District in Division 1 at the School Sport SA Tennis Championships. Both girls represented their district well.

Lucy Boyd has recently been selected in the U18 SANFLW SA State football squad. The final team will be selected at the end of the year and travel interstate next April. Lucy is quite young for this team at only 15 years old, and it is a great achievement and recognition for her hard work both at West Adelaide and the support and training from Coach Dutton and the HP team at Westminster. Well done Lucy.

Recently we had three fantastic days at the beach, where our Year 7 to Year 11 volleyballers competed in the Volleyball SA Schools Beach Volleyball Festival. Westminster entered 12 teams consisting of 52 students in the tournament. Our students displayed a commendable effort against highly competitive opponents, with most teams making the finals.
