Student Accident Insurance - Edition 3 - 2021

Westminster School provides basic student accident protection insurance to provide financial benefits to students and their family in the event of accidental bodily injury. Coverage applies 24 hours a day, seven days a week for accidents which occur while the student is engaged in School-related activities on and off campus, including co-curricular and sporting activities, camps, interstate and overseas school tours and school-organised work experience placements. For Boarders, the accident coverage applies at all times while on campus. The insurance policy also extends to other benefits including contributing to a student’s tuition fees in the event of their parent or guardian’s accidental death.

This insurance cover is not a replacement for private health insurance, travel insurance or life insurance, and does not provide benefits for items covered under Medicare. Like all insurance policies, there are exclusions and parents are encouraged to familiarise themselves with what is and isn’t covered as outlined in the document below. Parents may wish to consider purchasing additional student accident cover through an insurer of their choice, according to their circumstances.
