A Uniting Church coeducational independent day and boarding school on Kaurna Country, Adelaide, South Australia
Early Learning to Year 12
Thank you to those parents who attended the first information session last night on School Star, our new School App, and SEQTA, our new Learning Management System. We thank you in advance as we gradually integrate these platforms into daily School life. It’s important to note that the app does not replace any other traditional communication channels.
We have chosen School Star as our School app. It can be downloaded via the App Store or Google Play.
You would have received an invitation text message which says: Westminster School is pleased to announce and upgrade to our communication services. News and general messages will now be sent using the School Star app. Only parents/caregivers can access content in this secure app. Download at www.mgmw.co/85ltfZP. Please direct any enquiries to app support@westminster.sa.edu.au.
Families will receive general communications from the School through the School Star newsfeed. Urgent communications will be communicated through the message system. Please be aware this is a one-way message system only. Parents should not use this to send messages to the School, and should instead communicate through their normal channels (classroom teacher, Head of House, absentee line etc.).
The app is secure, and is only accessible by people we have a mobile number for.
Currently we are scoping in our summer sport program, with the plan to include our full co-curricular offering in the future. We are also looking to develop a School calendar integration into the app, as well as a full eCommerce system so you will eventually be able to pay school fees, buy uniforms and order canteen items all through your mobile phone.
A user guide can be downloaded below.
Any questions about the app can be directed to appsupport@westminster.sa.edu.au
Michelle Payne, our project leader for SEQTA, our new Learning Management System, will be updating you via a direct communication in the next couple of weeks with specific instructions on how to set your passwords, access via a PC and a mobile device. Specific video instructions will accompany this.
We will send a message via School Star and email, when SEQTA is ready to be accessed by parents.
Any questions about SEQTA can be directed to wsseqta@westminster.sa.edu.au.
In addition to SEQTA, Seesaw will continue to be used in the Preparatory School for now.
Once we have fully integrated our communications across all of our apps, we will then update the community on our ‘whole school’ communication guidelines.
