Valet

For those of you who may recall former Chairman of School Council, the late Don Haydon, we were saddened to learn that his wife Ruth Haydon passed away on 31 May 2020. Our condolences are with the Haydon family at this time.

We also learnt that Grant Jeffery (‘83) passed away on Thursday 4 June 2020, following a long battle with lung cancer. Our thoughts are with Grant’s wife Diana and their family.

Old Scholars’ Week

The WOSA Committee met briefly last week to look to the year ahead. While COVID-19 restrictions are slowly but surely being lifted, we feel that the Old Scholars’ Week, starting with Old Scholars’ Day and ending with the WOSA Annual Dinner, is coming up quickly and we are not in a position to be able to host these events under the prevailing conditions, as we would normally enjoy them. Consequently, we are cancelling the Annual Dinner for this year and will revisit aspects of Old Scholars’ Day at Westminster School. We are looking further into the year at the possibility of hosting an event to celebrate the opening of the new Sports Pavilion.
