Michelle Wakim (’14)

Michelle is the recipient of the inaugural Helpmann Academy Mentorship, a partnership with Solstice Media to cultivate the next generation of arts reviewers. From July, Michelle will be partnered with a mentor from InReview (a new sub-site of InDaily) who will help with building her skills in the art of review writing, aiming to produce a number of pieces to be published on InReview. Easton Wedding

Tom Easton (’07) and Nat Parsons (’09)

Tom and Nat were married in Myponga on Saturday 20 March 2021, a beautiful and sunny day. In this photo with Tom and Nat Easton are Samantha Duell, Hayley Croon, Nick Pynor (’08) and Sam Watkins (’07). Congratulations to the extended Walter, Easton and Parson families.

Vale Norman Bennett

We were saddened to learn that Current School Grandparent Norman Bennett passed away on Sunday 25 April 2021. Norman was a lay minister and in this capacity, covered the Chaplain’s role in the past at Westminster from time to time. Our thoughts are with Norman’s wife Val and family, including grandson Fin (Year 12) and Old Scholar Sam Bolch (’05).

WOS Netball Club

The Westminster Old Scholars’ Netball Club is now playing again in the AMND Winter Season. Two senior teams have been registered – one in C1 and the other in C2, plus another team in the Sub Juniors (Grade 3) for players born in 2008 or 2009. Training is happening in the Forder Centre on Monday and/or Thursday evening as the teams settle into their new routine. If you are interested in finding out more about playing for WOSNC, as a secondary competition to School netball, please contact Peter Trenorden (’77), WOSAEO, E: ptrenorden@westminster.sa.edu.au or T: 08 8276 0234.

WOS Football Club

It’s a standing invitation to join WOS Football Club at Glandore for their home games. There you will find the biggest gathering of the Westminster community outside of the School itself. Join us for a match, the famous WOSFC sausage sizzle and a drink on the deck!
