Kym Purling (’89)

Sunday 24 March, world traveller Kym Purling ('89) was back in Adelaide to perform two concerts in one. Kym is an extraordinary jazz pianist and amongst his sensational accompanying musicians were trumpeter Josh Chenoweth ('15) and trombone tutor Alex Taylor. It was a privilege to enjoy these world class musicians in performance at the Morialta Uniting Church, supported by Brighton Pianos with a grand piano for Kym to play. It was also a pleasure to catch up a number of Westminster Old Scholars and past families, including Kym‘s family - former School Chaplain David Purling, wife Judith and Kym’s sister Catherine (’85).

WOSA Survey

Congratulations to Mark Hurcombe (’72) and Alicia Buxton (’94) who were drawn to each receive the six-pack of Mr Riggs wines, as a result of their participation in our recent WOSA survey.

WOSFCC and WOSSC

Both our WOS Football and WOS Soccer Clubs commence their winter seasons next week. If you enjoy football, head to Glandore Community Oval (Naldera St) where you will find a great Westminster gathering at each home game – complete with a fully operational club room, bar and barbeque. WOS soccer use Westminster as their base and you will find the teams and their dedicated supporters on the Courtney for their home games.

Vale Lindsay Kerr

We have been advised that Past Staff Member Lindsay Kerr passed away on 17 March 2019. Lindsay was on staff from 1984 to 1991 as an Art teacher and providing much assistance with set creation for our Drama productions. Our thoughts are with Lindsay's family, especially wife Gaenor Roeger, son Adam ('05) and daughter Millie.
